Grab a beverage from the bar & experience where cricket meets comedy! (No knowledge of cricket required) A team of Australia’s finest Comedians will take on the best of the UK in a 5 Test battle for glory.

The Ashes Comedy Showdown, has become a crowd favourite, fought in festivals across Australia since 2013, and debuting in Edinburgh in 2016.

A state of the art ‘laughometer’ measures the audience’s response to each comedian, calculating a score for their ‘innings’ which contributes to the team total for each test. There are winners and losers, and of course, after 5 Tests one country raises the coveted Comedy Ashes Urn and confirms undeniable that they are the funniest!

It’s a hectic and hilarious competition with veteran team captains leading the charge. There’s a coin toss, a neutral umpire, run-outs and riotous audience participation as both nations field their strongest line-ups.

Featuring all the drama of a Test Match, but with all the big hits and colour of a 20/20 game, it’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
